Where does the name Leonando come from?
It’s a play on words. I liked the name Leo, and I was playing around with Nando’s (the chicken spot). Putting them together made Leonando—something unique and catchy that you won't hear anywhere else.
Why a cactus?
Ideas arrive uninvited, and Leonando has been my beloved character for years. He’s tough and survives the heat—just like the spirit of football. It felt right to make him the face of 2026.
