Some ideas arrive uninvited, and Leonando has been my beloved character for years. He’s tough, he survives the heat, and he represents the resilient spirit of the game. I thought, why not? Let the cactus lead the charge across the whole North American landscape.

Where did the name "Leonando" come from?

It’s an artist's play on words. I liked the name Leo, and I was playing around with Nando’s (the chicken spot). Putting them together made Leonando—it’s unique, it’s catchy, and it’s a name you won’t hear anywhere else.
